General Information on GI’s Article Processing Charges (APC)
GI publishes all its journals in full open access, meaning unlimited use and reuse of articles, in addition to giving credit to the authors. All of our articles are published under a Creative Commons (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license.
Therefore, authors pay a one-time document processing fee (APC) to cover the costs of administration and review, professional creation of documents in PDF and other formats, and publishing Post articles in different places, in addition to other posts. Features Note that the pre-payment processing is not accepted. There are no charges for rejected documents, no delivery charges, and no additional charges based on document length, numbers or additional data. Some articles (edits, corrections, additions, extracts, comments, etc.) are published free of charge.
If an error on our part resulted in the article not being published under the open access conditions chosen by the authors, GI will refund the Article Processing Fee (APC). This may include not publishing an article on the journal's database or publishing the article under a Creative Commons license that the author or authors have not chosen. Refunds will be issued if these errors are not corrected within 45 days of publication.
Discounts and waivers
GI is committed to supporting the transition of all research to fully open access, therefore we regularly offer APC waivers or discounts. On average, we waive approximately 30-60% of our content every year.
However we provide waiver or discount for authors from underdeveloped and economically poor countries.
