Complaint Policy

The Greenfort International Journal of Applied Medical Science handles all complaints and appeals in a transparent, fair, and timely manner. The journal follows the principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure high ethical and editorial standards.

1. Scope of Complaints

  • Complaints may include, but are not limited to:
  • Editorial decisions
  • Peer-review delays or quality concerns
  • Publication ethics issues
  • Author, reviewer, or editor conduct
  • Allegations of misconduct
  • Technical or production-related errors

All complaints are treated confidentially and addressed with due seriousness.

2. How to Submit a Complaint or Appeal

Authors or readers may submit a complaint or request an appeal by emailing the Editorial Office. Complaints must include:

  • Manuscript ID (if applicable)
  • A clear explanation of the concern or appeal
  • Supporting documents, if any

The Editorial Office acknowledges receipt within a reasonable time and initiates an investigation.

3. Appeals Against Editorial Decisions

Authors may request reconsideration of a rejected manuscript. Appeals must provide substantial and specific reasons, such as:

  • Evidence that an error occurred in the evaluation
  • Clarification of misunderstood data or methodology
  • Strong scientific justification for reevaluation

Appeals are reviewed only at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief or designated senior editors.

4. Appeal Outcomes

After evaluation, the Editor(s) may:

  • Uphold the original decision
  • Invite a revised manuscript
  • Invite resubmission as a new manuscript (with a new manuscript ID and submission date)
  • Send the manuscript for an independent or additional peer review

The decision of the Editor-in-Chief on appeals is final.

5. Resolution Process

  • All complaints are reviewed impartially by appropriate editorial staff or committee members.
  • Complex complaints may be referred to the Editorial Board or external ethical advisors.
  • The journal ensures no retaliation or disadvantage against anyone filing a complaint in good faith.

6. Ethical Guidance

The journal strictly follows COPE’s guidelines for handling complaints and appeals:
