AI Content Policy
Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools
The e-Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Science (EJMPS) recognizes that authors may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and language models to assist in language improvement, grammar correction, formatting, literature organization, or technical support during manuscript preparation. However, the use of such tools must be responsible, transparent, and in accordance with ethical publishing standards.
AI Cannot Be an Author
Artificial Intelligence tools, including chatbots and language generation systems, cannot be listed as authors or co-authors of a manuscript. Authorship requires intellectual contribution, accountability, responsibility for the accuracy of the work, and the ability to respond to ethical concerns, which AI systems cannot provide.
Author Responsibility
Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, scientific validity, and integrity of all content submitted to the journal, including any content generated or assisted by AI tools. The use of AI does not transfer responsibility from the human authors.
Disclosure of AI Use
If AI tools have been used in the preparation of the manuscript beyond basic spelling or grammar correction, authors should clearly disclose this use in the manuscript, usually in the acknowledgment section or a separate disclosure statement. The disclosure should include the name of the tool and the purpose for which it was used.
Prohibited Use of AI
AI tools must not be used to fabricate data, manipulate research findings, generate false references, create misleading scientific claims, or replace genuine scientific analysis. Any unethical use of AI that compromises research integrity will be treated as research misconduct.
Reviewer and Editor Use of AI
Reviewers and editors must maintain strict confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and should not upload confidential manuscript content into public AI platforms that may compromise data privacy or intellectual property. Editorial decisions must remain under human academic judgment and responsibility.
Ethical and Transparent Publishing
The journal supports the responsible use of AI technologies while maintaining transparency, accountability, and ethical standards in scholarly publishing. Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to use AI tools carefully and ethically to protect the credibility and trustworthiness of scientific research.
