Ethical statements
Publication Ethics
The e-Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Science (EJMPS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. The journal expects authors, reviewers, editors, and publishers to follow ethical principles and maintain integrity, transparency, and honesty throughout the publication process.
Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must ensure that their submitted manuscripts are original, accurate, and free from plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or duplicate publication. All sources of information must be properly cited, and the manuscript should not be submitted simultaneously to another journal. Authors must also confirm that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the research and have approved the final version of the manuscript.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and confidentially. They should provide constructive comments based on academic merit and scientific quality without personal criticism. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality, avoid using unpublished information for personal benefit, and disclose any conflicts of interest that may affect their review.
Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for making fair and unbiased publication decisions based on the scientific quality, originality, relevance, and ethical compliance of the submitted manuscript. Editors must maintain confidentiality, ensure transparency in editorial decisions, avoid conflicts of interest, and take appropriate action in cases of suspected ethical misconduct.
Plagiarism Policy
The journal has zero tolerance for plagiarism in any form. All submitted manuscripts are checked for originality before entering the peer review process. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism, duplicate publication, or unethical content may be rejected immediately or retracted after publication if serious ethical violations are identified.
Conflict of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, academic, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that could influence the publication process. Full transparency in conflict disclosure is necessary to maintain trust and credibility in scientific publishing.
Human and Animal Research Ethics
Research involving human participants must include approval from an Institutional Ethics Committee and informed consent from participants. Studies involving animals must also provide approval from the appropriate ethics committee and ensure proper ethical treatment and welfare standards. Ethical approval details must be clearly stated in the manuscript.
Data Integrity and Reporting Standards
Authors must present research findings honestly and accurately without manipulation of data or misleading interpretation. Sufficient methodological details should be provided to allow reproducibility of the research. Fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting of data is considered serious ethical misconduct.
Corrections and Retractions
If significant errors, ethical concerns, or misconduct are identified after publication, the journal will take appropriate action through corrections, retractions, expressions of concern, or article withdrawal. These actions are implemented to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.
Confidentiality
Editors and reviewers must maintain strict confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts and related communications. Information obtained during the editorial and review process must not be shared or used for personal or professional advantage.
Commitment to Ethical Publishing
The journal remains committed to promoting responsible research publication and ethical scholarly communication. All stakeholders involved in the publication process are expected to uphold these ethical standards to ensure the quality, credibility, and reliability of published scientific work.
