Editorial Policies
The e-Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Science (EJMPS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing, editorial transparency, research integrity, and ethical publication practices. The journal ensures fairness, quality, transparency, and academic integrity throughout the editorial and peer review process.
The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board maintain full editorial independence and have complete authority over editorial decisions without interference from the publisher, sponsors, advertisers, or any external agencies. All editorial decisions are based solely on scientific quality, originality, relevance to the journal scope, ethical compliance, methodological soundness, and academic significance.
EJMPS follows a strict double-blind peer review process in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure an unbiased and transparent evaluation system. Every submitted manuscript undergoes initial editorial screening, plagiarism detection, formatting review, scientific assessment, and expert peer review by at least two qualified reviewers before a final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief.
The journal carefully screens all submissions for originality, relevance to medical and pharmaceutical sciences, scientific validity, compliance with author guidelines, ethical approval, conflict of interest disclosures, funding transparency, and clinical trial registration where applicable. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic editorial requirements may be rejected without external peer review.
EJMPS strictly follows international publication ethics standards and does not tolerate plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, authorship disputes, or undisclosed conflicts of interest. Any suspected ethical misconduct is handled seriously and may result in rejection, correction, retraction, or notification to relevant institutions when necessary.
Authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any financial, academic, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that may influence the publication process. Maintaining transparency in conflict disclosure is essential to preserve the credibility and trustworthiness of published research.
Research involving human participants must include approval from an Institutional Ethics Committee along with informed consent from participants and compliance with recognized ethical standards. Studies involving animals must also provide approval from an Institutional Animal Ethics Committee and demonstrate proper ethical treatment and welfare standards.
Clinical trials submitted to the journal must be registered in a recognized public clinical trial registry before participant enrollment. The trial registration number must be clearly mentioned in the manuscript to ensure transparency and compliance with international publishing standards.
The journal encourages authors to provide sufficient methodological details and, where applicable, make research data available to support reproducibility, scientific verification, and research transparency. This helps strengthen the reliability and impact of published studies.
EJMPS maintains a transparent post-publication correction policy that includes corrections, errata, retractions, expressions of concern, and article withdrawals when necessary. Any post-publication changes are clearly documented and linked to the original published article to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
Editorial Board members are responsible for maintaining academic quality, supporting ethical publishing practices, providing expert editorial guidance, assisting in peer review management, and promoting transparency and fairness in all editorial decisions. All editorial members are expected to uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and research integrity.
The journal follows a full open-access publishing model in which all published articles are freely available online without subscription fees or access restrictions. This ensures wider global dissemination of scientific knowledge and increases the visibility and citation potential of published research.
Authors retain the copyright of their published work while granting the journal the right of first publication. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), which allows sharing, redistribution, adaptation, and reuse of the work with proper attribution. More details are available at Creative Commons CC BY 4.0.
The journal also maintains complete transparency regarding its editorial board details, article processing charges if applicable, ownership and management, publisher information, contact details, peer review procedures, archiving policy, and complaint and appeal processes. These policies are clearly displayed on the journal website to ensure compliance with international best publishing practices and indexing standards.
