Editorial Policies

Publication in a peer-reviewed journal is central to maintaining the academic and scholarly standards of the Bulletin of Humanities and Social Sciences (BHSS). The journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical publishing practices, and all parties involved in the publication process—including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to adhere to these principles.

All manuscripts submitted to BHSS undergo initial editorial screening followed by a rigorous peer-review process before a final publication decision is made. Editorial decisions are based solely on the scholarly merit of the work, its originality, methodological rigor, analytical quality, ethical integrity, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Discrimination based on authors’ nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, ethnicity, or political or religious beliefs is strictly prohibited.

Manuscripts submitted to BHSS must be original and must not be under consideration by any other journal at the time of submission. Submissions should not have been previously published, except for content deposited on recognized preprint servers. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is free from plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, improper citation practices, copyright infringement, and any violation of third-party rights.

BHSS follows internationally recognized standards of publication ethics and takes allegations of research misconduct seriously. When necessary, the journal will issue corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern in accordance with best publishing practices. Research involving human participants, surveys, interviews, field studies, or sensitive data must comply with applicable ethical standards and include appropriate ethics approval and informed consent statements where required.

Editors act independently in the evaluation and decision-making process, and editorial decisions are not influenced by the publisher or any commercial interests. Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed and will be managed in accordance with the journal’s Conflict of Interest policy to ensure transparency and fairness throughout the publication process.
