This study aims at identifying and analyzing innovative applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in creating, disseminating, and personalizing educational broadcast content that promote gender equity, inclusive narratives and diverse representation, with a view to assessing the ethical implications, biases and practical hurdles in implementing AI-driven educational broadcasting initiatives in Nigeria. Anchored on Innovation Diffusion Theory, Feminist Media Theory (FMT) and Digital Generative Multimedia Tools Theory (DGMTT), the study posits that AI can dismantle traditional stereotypes and amplify marginalized voices through personalized and adaptive content delivery and accessible multimedia formats. Using the qualitative research approach comprising systematic literature review, findings reveal that AI offers opportunities in tailoring content to individual learning styles, providing real-time feedback, and creating inclusive language models. The study further identifies challenges to include the potential for algorithmic bias to reinforce stereotypes, digital divide limiting access for marginalized groups or communities, lack of ethical guidelines and regulatory frameworks to enhance AI adoption in educational broadcasting in Nigeria, among others. The authors recommend an investment in digital literacy to pave way for technology adoption among Nigerian educators and broadcasters, and the promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration between AI developers, educators, and broadcasters.
